Barry Gan has been a professor at St. Bonaventure University for the past 23 years after receiving his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Philosophy from the University of Rochester in 1981 and 1984, respectively. Prior to teaching at St. Bonaventure, Dr. Gan taught high school and junior high school English for six years.
Dr. Gan is editor of The Acorn: Journal of the Gandhi-King Society and co-editor of Peace and Change: A Journal of Peace Research and The Journal of the Peace History Society. For two years he served as Program Committee Chair for the Fellowship of Reconciliation - the oldest and largest interfaith peace group in the United States.
