Amy Schmidt

Amy has spent much time traveling, adventuring, and living abroad. She earned her BA in English from her hometown college, Western Carolina University. She has been a teacher, an activist, a social worker, and a student. Her most recent professional experience was as executive director of a nonprofit healthcare organization called Vecinos Farmworker Health Program. She moved on from Vecinos last year to continue her education. Amy currently resides in Costa Rica, where she is enrolled in an MA program at the University for Peace. She is a writer and a yoga teacher.
