Minds of the Movement

An ICNC blog on the people and power of civil resistance

Kemitooma K. Nyina’Nkyenzibo

Kemitooma is a 28-year-old Afro-feminist activist, writer, and community organizer living in exile for mobilizing against the four-decade Museveni dictatorship in Uganda. Her work centers on building grassroots power through feminist organizing, civic education, and radical acts of resistance that challenge patriarchy, militarism, and corruption. Forced to flee after repeated threats and arrests, Kemitooma continues her organizing from exile, building networks of solidarity that connect Uganda’s struggle for democracy with global movements for freedom and justice.
