Ahmad Helmi is a Syrian human rights activist and survivor who has worked for more than a decade to advance justice and meaningful victim participation. He is a founding member of INOVAS and contributed to developing its Practical Guidelines on Victim Participation.

Ahmad founded the TA’AFI Initiative, a survivor-led organization supporting survivors of enforced disappearance and torture, and played a key role in establishing the Truth and Justice Charter, the first Syrian coalition led by victims and survivors.
