Ahmad Manninah is a Syrian journalist, human rights defender and digital political and human rights content creator. From exile in Jordan, Ahmed focuses his work on the rights of people with disabilities in the MENA region and their inclusion in civic activism. Ahmad also works to raise awareness about sexual reproductive health and rights. He is currently working on establishing the first organization for human rights defenders with disabilities in the MENA region. The organization aims in particular to integrate activists and defenders with disabilities into the work of regional civil society as effective agents of change, and to promote the adoption of inclusive policies among human rights organizations. The organization also aims to involve human rights defenders with disabilities in decision-making and peacebuilding processes at the local, regional and international levels.
