Florian Kriener

Florian Kriener is a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Public Comparative and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany. Florian received a law degree from the University of Heidelberg in 2019. He specializes in international law. In 2016/17, he studied abroad at the Universidad de Chile in Santiago and interned at the German Embassy to Chile. His research focuses on the role of nonviolent protest movements in international law with a particular focus on the legal regulation of foreign support measures to nonviolent movements. His doctoral studies are partially funded by a scholarship from the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation.
