Kara Kingma Neu

Kara Kingma Neu, PhD (International Studies, Josef Korbel School, University of Denver) is a Research Fellow at the Sie Cheou-Kang Center for International Security and Diplomacy and a Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor at the University of Denver. Her book project explores military responses to major anti-authoritarian protest movements and their impact on post-protest democratization. In other research, she explores other topics during anti-regime protests, including the determinants of military seizures of power and the role of internal security forces such as paramilitaries and presidential guards. Kara was a recipient of the ICNC 2016 Research Fellowship award.
