Nico Plooijer is a senior adviser at the Dutch peace organization PAX. His current focus is on civic space and nonviolent social movements. Nico has over two decades of experience managing peacebuilding programs and conflict mitigation efforts. He facilitated peacebuilding and mediation efforts on local and national levels in Sudan and South Sudan. Having earned an MA in Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam, Nico is also an alum of the ICNC Summer Institute for the Advanced Study of Strategic Nonviolent Conflict.
