Yunus Berndt

Yunus Berndt is the founder of the Maltese NGO Hal Far Outreach, which helps asylum seekers in the island’s largest refugee camp, Hal Far. He also introduced peopleless protests to Europe Must Act, which calls for the evacuation of refugees from the Aegean islands. Yunus holds a B.A. in International Relations and Management from the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg and will be starting an M.A. in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. His research interests encompass migration, post-modernism and entrepreneurship. In his free time, Yunus is a passionate wooden boat builder.
