Markus Bayer

Markus Bayer is a Political Scientist and Ph.D. student at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany. He is currently working on a project on “Nonviolent Resistance and Democratic Consolidation”, which is closely related to his doctoral research. His main research interests are peace and conflict studies, nonviolent resistance, democratization, and social movements. His latest publications include articles on “The Democratic Dividend of Non-Violent Resistance” (OA in Journal of Peace Research) and “Heroes and Victims: Economies of Entitlement after violent Pasts” (in Peacebuilding).
