Internship Positions
ICNC provides undergraduate students, graduate students and post-grad individuals with meaningful internships in which they contribute to ICNC’s work and gain knowledge relevant to their field of study or career goals. These internships are part-time, paid positions that typically last a duration of 6 months.
While each internship has a unique set of responsibilities and duties, all interns play a key role in advancing the study and practice of the field of civil resistance as a means to achieve human rights, democratic self-rule and justice worldwide.
Digital Initiatives Internship
The Digital Initiatives intern works with the Program Manager to update ICNC’s website and build modules in the online course. The intern also manages webinar events and drafts emails. Further, they will lend support to digital publishing projects.

Media and Communications Internship
The Media and Communications intern works closely with the Director of Communications focusing on research, writing, and media relations. This intern assists with content for the ICNC website, social media, the monthly newsletter, annual reports, and other published and/or publicly disseminated information.

The Academic Initiatives intern works with the Program Manager and the Executive Director to provide administrative, editorial and communication assistance for various academic initiatives and programs on civil resistance offered to students, faculty, researchers and educators around the world.

Global Field Initiatives Internship
The Global Field Initiatives intern works closely with the Manager of Global Field Initiatives, to assist in programs, grants, organizing and outreach involving practitioners and activists around the world.

Editorial Initiatives Internship
The Editorial Initiatives intern works with the Manager of Editorial Initiatives on three primary projects: the Nonviolent Conflict News site, the Minds of the Movement blog, and print-on-demand publications under the ICNC Press imprint.
