Free Webinar: Complementary Paths to Peace? Tracking Peacebuilding and Civil Resistance Strategies in Liberia
The authors of a new Case Study about civil resistance in Liberia will present a free webinar on Wednesday, May 19, Noon to 1:00 p.m. EDT. The study is published by ICNC Press.
The work, Working Tirelessly for Peace and Equality: Civil Resistance and Peacebuilding in Liberia, takes an in-depth look at the strategies employed by Liberian activists since the end of the country’s civil war in 2003. Scholars Janel B. Galvanek and James Suah Shilue examine the impact those methodologies had on both political and civic reform and peacebuilding. Their analysis uses the framework of Veronique Dudouet’s 2017 ICNC Special Report, Powering to Peace: Integrating Civil Resistance and Peacebuilding Strategies. Dr. Dudouet will join Galvanek and Shilue in the webinar.
