我们的钱去哪里了?

In Kenya, members of parliament receive approximately one million dollars per year to spend on development projects in their constituencies through a scheme called the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The MPs are able to spend this money with no meaningful oversight, so the CDF has been plagued with mismanagement and corruption. This film focuses on the work IBP partner MUHURI (Muslims for Human Rights) is doing to involve communities directly in monitoring the CDF in Mombasa, Kenya. See how MUHURI uses “Social Audits” to involve communities in monitoring budgets and holding their government accountable for managing the public’s money and meeting the needs of the poor.
