Description

公民抵抗是普通民众在不使用暴力原则下而力争权利、自由和公正的一种方式。进行公民抵抗的民众采用各种不同的策略去实现社会、政治和经济方 面的改变,这些策略包括罢工、抵制、群众示威,以及其它行动。公民抵抗在世界各地可能叫法不同——非暴力斗争、直接行动、人民力量、政治对抗,或公民动员;但基本动力相同。

公民抵抗运动由群众参与而推动。人民联合起来参与反压迫的行动,从而削弱对现存制度的忠诚。当更多的抵抗者参与时,维持这种制度的代价则升高。选择违抗的民众多到一定程度时,现存制度则变得不可维持,结果是不得不变,不变则跨。群众利用策略性广泛进行的非暴力干扰和违抗来不服从甚至击败了武力强大、资金雄厚的统治者。
